For small spaces, we recommend small, simple and contemporary furniture, since this type of style is the one that generates a greater sense of spaciousness.

Two good options are, on the one hand, floating shelves, which transmit lightness and a sense of space while serving as a place to leave keys or mail, and on the other hand, shallow shoe racks, which serve as a "3 in 1": shelf, sideboard and storage unit.

Consoles and benches

If you are one of those who usually leave your keys or other accessories as soon as you open the door but flee from closed furniture, you can opt for a console (wooden ones are very fashionable) where you can leave all those items in sight so they do not get lost.

However, be careful with the chaos that this can generate: better group them in small boxes or trays for a more aesthetically pleasing look. 

If you also want some storage, you can place one or two baskets underneath, or opt for a bench or piece of furniture with open dividers that serve as a shoe rack and storage as well as a possible seat.

For the perception of spaciousness, color is important: if you do not have one in mind, white can be a good choice, since it is also very easy to combine.

Multifunctional entrance furniture

Multifunctional entrance furniture is becoming more and more popular thanks to its practicality, as it often combines several uses in one: storage, shoe rack, umbrella stand, seating... 

You can also create combinations of furniture to achieve multiple uses in your entryway. For example, add wall hangers to hang bags, jackets or coats, or add a low piece of furniture with cushions that can be used both as a shoe rack and as a stool to keep order when entering or leaving the house without problems.

With drawers

Having drawers can be an excellent choice for an entryway, especially if you usually leave mail or miscellaneous accessories right after entering. 

There are a variety of models on the market that offer this type of storage, but just one thing: promise to keep those drawers neat and tidy or you'll end up losing bills to pay ☺.

Mirrors, do not miss

Although it is not essential, a mirror is always very practical in the entrance. It provides spaciousness, allows us to give us that touch-up before going out and is very decorative.

The most interesting are the circular or oval ones, but a standing mirror or a rectangular one integrated in the design can also be spectacular.

What do I do if I don't have a ticket?

In some homes, opening the door leads directly into the living room, with no intermediate space between the living room and the entrance. 

However, it is important to create a reception area differentiated from the rest, and for this, nothing better than placing a space separator furniture, preferably partially open to the rest of the room to give amplitude.

It can be a bookshelf, an entryway cabinet with glass above it or a wooden slatted structure. You will see that it works wonders to create entrance spaces where it seemed impossible before. 

What about accessories?

It is not necessary to fill our entrance with elements, it is enough that they have what is necessary to be able to leave a couple of things. 

This does not mean that decorative objects do not have their place: you can use a vase with flowers, branches or decorative figures, as well as compositions of sheets and even the elements of coat seen (hats, boots, bags). The important thing is that they are well chosen and the composition is harmonious.
